Who can go?

If you are a veteran and have served anytime from 1941-1975 in any branch of the military and in any capacity, we would be honored to escort you to Washington D.C. on our Flight of Honor at no cost to you.

We recognize American Veterans for your sacrifices and achievements by flying you to Washington, DC to see YOUR memorials at no cost. Top priority is given to WWII and terminally ill Veterans from all wars. Second priority goes to Korean War Veterans, and third priority goes to Vietnam War Veterans. 

Our high school students accompany you throughout the trip, ensuring your safety and comfort every step of the way. A doctor, nurse, and several Honor Chairs are always available to assist with any medical or mobility needs.

Our Impact: Connecting Generations Through Honor Flight

Honor Flight Southeast Kansas is a unique and heartfelt program designed to honor our nation’s veterans by providing them with a memorable journey to Washington, D.C. In partnership with Parsons (USD 503), Chetopa/St. Paul (USD 505), Fort Scott (USD 234), Christian Learning Center, & Caney Valley (USD 436), we proudly organize an annual, all-expenses-paid, three-day trip for 74 veterans and 74 student guardians. This trip allows our honored veterans to visit and reflect at the nation’s war memorials, creating lasting memories and fostering powerful connections between generations. Our Honor Flight is one of the few in the country where high school students serve as guardians, providing a meaningful learning experience for students and a deeply personal tribute for veterans. Through this program, we aim to celebrate service, bridge generations, and create a legacy of gratitude and respect in our community.

Each trip can vary in scheduling, but the trip will include most of the following places:

World War II, Korean War, Navy, U.S. Marine Corps (Iwo Jima), Vietnam War, Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Airforce, Women's War, Eisenhower, & Roosevelt Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, The Pentagon, The National Archives, The Smithsonian, & Fort McHenry
