Amy Harper first heard about Honor Flight and immediately knew she wanted to get involved. Because Honor Flight Hubs serve communities within a 120-mile radius, Fort Scott fell within the Parsons, Chetopa, and St. Paul High Schools Hub. Amy asked if Fort Scott could join the hub and take part in the next mission.
Just nine months later, a team was in place, and the Fort Scott school district & community had raised $80,000 for its first Flight of Honor. That incredible accomplishment reflects the deep commitment of the school and community to honor our nation’s veterans and inspiring future generations.
For the 2027 mission, Fort Scott will partner with Fort Scott Christian Heights School.
